Want to liven up your Wednesdays in Bristol?

Restaurant app CityMunch livens up the mid-week food scene in Bristol

From today, CityMunch will be launching ‘Midweek Munch Club’, a weekly event designed to crack down on mundane Wednesday evenings. Through the app, foodies in Bristol will be able to get huge discounts of up to 50% off between 6 and 8pm each Wednesday. Aimed at the after-work crowd, Midweek Munch Club is designed for anyone looking to catch up with friends over a meal, without whittling away their weekend spending money.

CityMunch also wants to put a smile on the face of local restaurateurs, who often rely on peak-times like Friday and Saturday nights to drive their business.

In the words of Chris Davis, owner of To The Moon – “Midweek can be a time when people stay in, but we know it’s nice to treat yourself during a hard week at work. With Midweek Munch Club, our customers will have a chance to do that.”

CityMunch has been promoting real-time discounts at top independent restaurants in Bristol since November 2016. Through the app, diners can get exclusive discount vouchers at places like Pizzarova, and Thali Cafe straight to their phone at the tap of a button. At the other end, restaurateurs can publish offers for times that suit them and respond in real-time to changes in demand.

Midweek Munch Club brings the mechanics of this to life, highlighting the mutual benefit that CityMunch provides for both diners and restaurant owner’s.

Rob Lynch, Founder of CityMunch explains the concept: “Wednesday night can be a great night to go out for dinner without disrupting the normal ‘school night’ routine. That’s what we’re trying to do with Mid-Week Munch Club – provide a fantastic choice of local places for catching up with friends, without breaking the bank in the process.”

The first Midweek Munch Club launches today, Wednesday 21st June with Thali Cafe, Pizzarova, Eldon House and To The Moon.
