Only a few homes remain at the popular Corsham development

The news that the last few homes remain available to buy on Cotswold Homes’ popular Corsham Rise development in the Wiltshire town has created a surge of interest among would-be buyers, it was announced this week.

“Those who have been thinking about it now need to move swiftly if they want to secure one of these properties,” says Cotswold Homes’ head of sales and marketing Terri Hayes-Pugh.

Since plans for the scheme in Potley Lane were announced almost two years ago, steady demand has kept pace with the construction programme, attracting a mix of young professionals, families and retired couples who together have created a new close-knit community.

The popular Help-to-Buy scheme has helped many of them to secure their new homes with deposits of just five per cent.

Expected to be snapped up soon, the remaining properties include Cotswold Homes’ Holt house-type, an innovative three-bedroom home featuring flexible accommodation which can be adapted to meet the needs of occupiers.

The Holt, which is open for inspection by visitors, is described as two-and-a-half storey house. The ‘half’ comprises a galleried master bedroom suite on the top floor. The suite, described as ‘stunning’ by one of the first visitors to see it, features dormer windows in the roof.

Buyers also have praised the style and layout of the kitchens in the homes at Corsham Rise, reports Terri.

“Our no-hidden-extras prices include fully-integrated Smeg appliances – stainless steel double oven, hob with a feature hood, fridge-freezer, washer-drier and integrated dishwasher – as well as several other features at no extra cost,” she says.

These range from semi-pedestal basins to maximise floor space in bathrooms to chrome towel rails and contemporary vinyl flooring as well as stylish fixtures and fittings.

Planned to maximise the use of space and natural light, some of the new homes at Corsham Rise have open-plan kitchen-dining suites with French windows opening on to ready-turfed and enclosed gardens, each with an external water tap.

  • Prices of the remaining homes at Corsham Rise start at £309,000. For more details call Strakers on 01249 652717. The agents will explain how buyers can make use of the use of the Help-to-Buy scheme which, with the Government’s assistance, can enable them to buy with a deposit of just five per cent, subject to qualifying. They will also explain the benefits of Cotswold Homes’ popular GameChanger package which, subject to terms and conditions, offers help with moving costs such as estate agency fees or by paying for carpets.
