New yoga studio to open on Wapping Wharf

The studio at CARGO 2 will offer meditation, sound healing, wellness workshops and art events

From August 22, Wapping Wharf in central Bristol will be home to new independent yoga studio and creative space, Elevate, which will run yoga classes both online and in-studio.

There will be meditation, sound healing, 1-2-1 sessions, wellness workshops, spoken word and art events on offer from a range of practitioners.

Bristol-born artist and yoga teacher Ella Riggs has taken over the space formerly belonging to Pure Yoga, where she worked as studio manager and teacher.

Ella said: “It has been my absolute dream to open my own space. Having worked closely with the wonderful Amelia when the space was formally Pure Yoga, I fell in love with the area and community. I’m passionate about bringing movement, rest, wellness and art to Wapping Wharf, now more than ever!”

Stuart Hatton, managing director at Umberslade, the developer behind Wapping Wharf, said: “Ella has already been a part of the Wapping Wharf community through her previous involvement in Pure Yoga so we know that her new venture will fit right in. We wish her all the best with her exciting plans for the studio; its focus on wellness couldn’t be more relevant and important right now.”

Elevate is joining a family of more than 40 independent businesses on Wapping Wharf, many in converted shipping containers. The popular hub features some of the city’s best independent restaurants, shops, cafes and lifestyle businesses.
