Name: Vikki Little

Company:  Annexe by Future Rooms

Job title: Director

Years in Bristol: 22 (with some time in London and Marlow in between!)

What does your job entail, day to do?

I’m responsible for the marketing of the business, which includes the marketing strategy and implementation, liaising with clients and working with the team to ensure that very project run smoothly. I am also responsible for the growth of the company through the management of the business strategy, operation and team alongside my co-directors.

What’s your favourite thing about working within your business?

This is such an exciting and innovative business. I really enjoy working in a business that has a sustainable and efficient approach to building, which in turn offers homeowners, businesses and organisations the opportunity to add the space they need cost-effectively. Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), is an innovative method of construction that delivers sustainable and cost-effective builds, and designing and developing products, such as annexes and home extension kits, that meet the needs of a wide range of clients is both interesting and rewarding.

Tell us the best part of your job?

Helping client build their dream cost-effectively, using a sustainable construction method! Due to the nature of SIPs, we’re often able to help clients afford build the annexe they need for a relative, extend their home to accommodate their lifestyle or expand their business premises, when they didn’t have the budget to do so using more traditional construction methods.

Favourite place in Bristol?

I love Clifton, with its tree-lined sreets, beautiful architecture and independent restaurants and shops. And I love how close it is to lovely walks in the nearby countryside.

What, in your opinion, makes Bristol such a great place to live?

The variety it offers and its proximity to the countryside and coast when I do fancy a change from the city. It has so much to offer all ages, whatever your interests. There are so many different areas to explore in your free time, and it also has plenty to offer from a work and business perspective.
