Children at BGS learn the skills they need to make their way in the world
Bristol Grammar School is a very special place. From the early years of reception, right up to the sixth form, pupils are encouraged to get involved and to make the most of the many opportunities available to them, inside the classroom and out. The enthusiasm and energy with which they throw themselves into these opportunities and their willingness to take on a new challenge is a large part of what makes BGS such a rewarding place to be for students and staff alike.
Ensuring your daughter or son is happy and enjoys school life is at the heart of everything BGS does. Their aim is for your child to leave BGS happy, confident and secure, equipped not just with qualifications but with the skills they need to make their way in the world.
The opportunities to gain these skills – such as teamwork, resilience, problem-solving and communication – are embedded throughout the school. As a proudly co-educational school, BGS believes girls and boys learn best when they work alongside each other, learning to see each other as peers and collaborators just as they will be in the world beyond school.
