Look out for the well-loved festival returning at the end of the month in conjunction with the British Dal Festival
The buzzing St Nick’s Night Market will be coming back Friday 27 March 2020 with some fabulous tasting food.
During the evening there will be musicians and performers bringing the oldest part of Bristol’s city centre to life, as the streets become packed with crowds piling in to sample food from all the different stalls.
This edition of the night market will see a St Nicholas Street takeover by stalls celebrating the British Dal Festival! Supported by Urban Kohinoor, this takeover will be celebrating the magic of dal with street food stalls, cookery demos from expert chefs, Bollywood dance classes, children’s activities, and a market of delicious ingredients for dal.
At the same time as the market, Source Food Hall on St Nicholas Street will be holding their oyster festival which is now in its 11th year – you’ll be able to try a selection of oysters from small farms and wild creeks all over the UK with wines, with beers and ciders to match.
The British Dal Festival is a nationwide celebration of dal and other pulse dishes from around the world and runs from 21–31 March this year.
The Dal Trail will be happening throughout the festival week, with restaurants and cafés around the UK putting a signature dal or pulse dish on their menu and many eateries in Bristol will be taking part.
Held in Bristol’s old city in the Glass Arcade, the Corn Exchange and on Corn Street itself, the popular St Nick’s night market has been drawing crowds since it was first held in 2015.
All in all, this will be a fabulous weekend of food ushering in the new season perfectly.
