Going out | Festival of the Dead

This unique combination of carnival, circus and clubbing is inspired by the art of the Day of The Dead celebration

Following a sell-out tour across the UK in 2018, Festival of The Dead returns to Bristol for one of the most imaginative and immersive events that you’ll ever have the chance to experience!

Taking place on Saturday November 16 at the O2 Academy on Frogmore Street, this is truly set to be a festival like no other. Expect carnival-esque pageantry, giant skull processions, acrobats, dancers and beautiful decorative art and costumes alongside unadulterated partying, crazy characters, huge puppets and breathtaking action – all set to an epic soundtrack!

The festival has entertained over 110,000 people since it started in 2016, and highlights of the evening include acrobats and circus performers, DJs and live music, professional skull face painting, confetti and a spectacular light show.

This event is for persons aged 18 and over only, and as attendees are as much a part of the show as the performers, fancy dress is encouraged – so prepare to come dressed in your deathly best!

Speaking about the festival, previous attendees have said: “One of the most unique events you will have ever been to,” “Definitely going again next year, best night out in ages,” and “Had a fantastic time, can’t wait until next year.”

Recent shows in Newcastle and London have been sell-outs, and this event is expected to be the same, so make sure you book your tickets soon to avoid disappointment! Tickets cost £26.90 (plus booking fee), and VIP packages cost £39.90 plus booking fee (including a ticket to the event, VIP Queue with priority entry, a brand new Festival of The Dead 2019 t-shirt, mask or head rosette).
