Enjoy some amazing fireworks and support some fantastic local causes at the same time
The Canford Park Charity Fireworks Fiesta is set to take place in Westbury-on-Trym on Saturday 2 November. Organised by the Bristol Round Table and Clifton Rotary Club, who are looking forward to adding to the tens of thousands of pounds they have already raised for local good causes over the past eight years, it promises to be a must-attend event for the whole family!
Speaking about the event, Marcus Hollick of Bristol Round Table said: “When we first held our fireworks display at Canford Park back in 2011, we knew it would be a successful charity event, raising money for local good causes. But never in our wildest dreams did we envisage just how popular, and what an important and much-anticipated part of the calendar it would become. We are extremely grateful to the local community for their continued support, and to the council for allowing us to use this fabulous location as the backdrop for our superb professional display.”
Robert Nagle, partner of Leese & Nagle estate agents who support the event, said: “We will be presenting a fantastic, dazzling, family-friendly pyrotechnic display.”
This year’s event promises to be even bigger and better than last year, and the organisers recommend that tickets are purchased in advance to guarantee entry as numbers are strictly limited. There will also be a fantastic ambling band to entertain the crowds before the firework display begins, and food, non-alcoholic drinks and glowsticks will also be available to purchase.
Gates for the event open at 5.30pm, with the display starting at 7.00pm sharp. Tickets cost £5 in advance or £6 on the night, and under-threes go free. Tickets can be purchased in advance from selected local St Peter’s Hospice shops and primary schools, as well as the event website, and funds raised will be donated to St Peter’s Hospice, The Lord Mayor of Bristol’s Children Appeal and other charities.
