CEO of Bonnier Books UK speaks at UWE as part of the Virtual Distinguished Address Autumn series
Have you ever felt like you needed to conform to fit in? What does aspiration mean to you? Do you have inspiring role models in your life?
As one of only ten BAME women to appear in a survey of the UK’s 1,097 most powerful leaders, (conducted by Green Park and Operation Black Vote), Perminder Mann knows a thing or two about overcoming obstacles and challenging stereotypes.
At this virtual event, Perminder will share her honest account of her path to success and her manifesto for bringing our authentic selves to work.
Perminder is the CEO of Bonnier Books UK, a major UK publisher with sales of 80m. She also appears annually in the UK’s top 100 most influential people in book publishing, a list compiled by the industry’s trade magazine, The Bookseller, and in 2015 was named as one of the top 10 most influential people in publishing and writing, at the prestigious Hospital Club h100 awards.
The Kingston University graduate was the first CEO of a major publisher to announce the move to a full flexible working policy in 2020. She is an advocate for inclusivity and collaboration in the workplace.
The Bristol Distinguished Address Series provides a unique opportunity to hear about the challenges, issues and decisions being made at the highest level of strategic leadership. The series is delivered by the Bristol Business School in partnership with Bristol City Council, Bristol Creative Industries, and Bristol Law Society among others.
