Nursery is looking to recruit new staff
A nursery in Clifton is celebrating an improved Ofsted rating after moving from a ‘satisfactory’ grade to a ‘good’ grade following its latest inspection by the governing body.
The Mama Bear’s Day Nursery and Pre-School on Oakfield Road, Clifton is now looking for additional staff to join the team at the successful setting, which will now be able to offer all eligible two-year-olds at the nursery year-round funded places entitling them to 12 hours of free childcare per week. Included in the vacancies is an exciting team leader role.
The latest Ofsted report has awarded the nursery a ‘good’ score across the board for effectiveness of the leadership and management; quality of teaching, learning and assessment; personal development, behaviour and welfare and outcomes for children.
The report highlights that staff have good partnerships with parents, sharing information with them regularly to help establish children’s starting points and to support planning for children’s future learning and development.
The inspector also praised the manager for ensuring staff continue their professional development with training courses and share their learning with each other.
Syreeta Kendall, manager of the Oakfield Road nursery said: “We are delighted to have achieved a Good Ofsted rating in our latest inspection. We have worked really hard to develop the nursery over the past year both in terms of the setting itself and in our teaching practises.
“We are now looking for additional staff to join us and help us in continuing to improve the nursery. It is a really lovely place to work in a beautiful 19th century building in a central location. Our resources are wonderful and being part of a family-run group means we benefit from excellent training, development and support. Not to mention our fabulous children and families!
“At Mama Bear’s we pride ourselves on offering outstanding care and tailoring that care to each individual child’s needs.”
