Clifton High School deliver masterclasses across Bristol

The school are encouraging all to get involved in the imaginative activities...

Following its recent superb ISI inspection and Good Schools Guide review, Clifton High School is keen to share the exceptional skill sets, talents and knowledge of its pupils and staff in an original and exciting venture throughout Bristol.

Every Friday afternoon, a small group of pupils and staff members take to a bespoke, colourful and fully equipped bus to deliver tailored masterclasses to junior schools in and around the Bristol area. Staff across the school have put together some highly imaginative and exciting programmes ranging from Camp Craft to a World War II Blitz Experience, Bubble Trouble Science activities, to a ‘Great School Sewing Bee’. The programme is proving very popular, with many local schools eager to participate. The school welcomes enquiries from local schools and youth groups who might be interested in the Masterclasses initiative. Further details can be found on the school’s website,

Clifton High School is this year celebrating its 140th year. Founded as an all-girls school in 1877, it is now established as a fully co-educational 3-18 selective independent school. It is the only school in Bristol to operate the Diamond Edge Model of education, whereby in Years 7 -9 boys and girls are taught separately in core subjects.  This unique approach is now firmly established in the school and has proved extremely popular in the Bristol market, with demand for places high.

We welcome visitors to two open mornings during the summer term: Nursery School to Year 6 on 26th April and Senior School to Sixth Form on 10th May.  Please contact the School’s Registrar and Admissions Manager on | 0117 933 9087
