Christmas in the square

The Spiegeltent returns with plenty of Christmas crackers to light up the coldest winter nights...

The annual festive Spiegeltent is back in Bristol’s Millennium Square until the new year, with a jam-packed schedule of live music, comedy, parties and celebrations for the entire family!

Inside the dazzling Spiegeltent walls, you’re whisked away to a whole new world. Whether it’s your office Christmas do, a family gathering or you just fancy a night out on the town, this mystical tent has it all.

Kid Carpet brings the laughs (and the weirdness) with his family-friendly take on the Nativity – be prepared for “jungle beats, a T—Rex, golden eagles, an angelic David Bowie” — and then teams with The Desperate Men for a rather more grown-up night of anarchy.

When it comes to music, this year you’re spoilt for choice! Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley is booked for a special festive evening, the fabulous Puppini Sisters will show off their classic harmonies and there’s cutting-edge brilliance from Ghostpoet, The Invisible and Massive Attack’s Daddy G. Pioneering DJ Don Letts is headlining a Sunday Social too – it’s a chilled-out afternoon featuring roast dinner lunches, a relaxed atmosphere and some truly excellent tunes.

Children will love the range of funtastic shenanigans on offer, including Pickled Images’ handmade puppet spectacular Christmas Tales With Granddad, Father Christmas’ Magic Time Machine, workshops and performances, plus special ‘baby discos’ with dressing up, face-painting and games galore! There’s also an exciting Monster Ball that the kids absolutely can’t miss…

As well as plenty of merry mayhem going on keeping the Christmas spirit flowing, The Spiegeltent has one final bonanza before it bows out for another year: the infamous New Year’s Eve extravaganza. The Spiegeltent swells into three other spaces for this year’s shindig, with lots of live bands, DJs, circus skills and wandering performers making the evening a memorable one!

Tickets sold separately- book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Take a look at for full details and timings.
