The company is using their business for good to support cancer sufferers
Bristol Windows Ltd is promising to donate £25 to Penny Brohn UK, a local cancer charity, for each composite door it sells to local businesses and residents for the rest of this year.
Penny Brohn UK is a charity with a holistic approach to supporting people diagnosed with the disease.
Shanice Wilson, head of marketing at Bristol Windows said, “We are incredibly excited to be supporting Penny Brohn UK, They are an amazing local charity and offer invaluable emotional and practical support to people living with cancer. A cause very close to our hearts as they have supported a member of our team.”
Penny Brohn UK’s head of events and community, Emma Gilmore added: “We were amazed to hear about Bristol Window’s fundraising drive. We rely on donations to fund our work and coronavirus is having a devastating impact on our fundraising. We’re looking at a huge income shortfall this year. We’re delighted to be Bristol Windows chosen charity. It’s a huge boost at a really critical time.”
For 40 years Penny Brohn UK has been working alongside people with cancer, placing them at the heart of the charity’s efforts. The whole-person approach offers personalised care from the moment of cancer diagnosis to treatment, and throughout survivorship. Exploring areas like diet, exercise, emotions, relationships and managing stress, Penny Brohn UK’s free courses, one-to-one therapies, and group sessions work alongside standard medical treatment to achieve the best health and wellbeing by supporting the holistic needs – psychological, emotional, spiritual and physical – of people affected by cancer.
