This event really is a highlight of Bristol’s festival calendar – a must attend for comedy fans, writes Keri Beckingham

With just a handful of tickets left for this year’s Bristol Comedy Garden, which takes place from July 3–7, comedy-lovers across the south west will be thrilled that an all-new show has been added to the bill on Saturday July 6!

This is your chance to come and witness master stand-up and Have I Got News For You star Reginald D Hunter, who’s fresh off the back of a huge tour, alongside Thornbury-raised Netflix and Comedy Central sensation Joel Dommett and Bristol-hero Mark Olver. With an additional special act yet to be announced, believe us when we say it’s set to be a whopping Saturday afternoon show!

Tickets to the eighth edition of this comedy extravaganza, which is held each summer in the glorious surroundings of Queen Square, have sold out at record speeds. Audiences from Bristol and beyond have bagged their tickets to this year’s sensational series of shows featuring the hilariously surreal 8 Out Of 10 Cats team captain Sean Lock, the legendary Stewart Lee, US stand-up sensation and star of Channel 4’s Catastrophe Rob Delaney, the multi award-winning talents of Sara Pascoe, Mash Report host and Mock The Week regular Nish Kumar, the riotous storytelling of Royal Variety Performance star Tom Allen, Shooting Stars cult oddity Angelos Epithimou, the raucously funny 8 Out Of 10 Cats team captain Aisling Bea, plus many more incredible acts.

Alongside the Big Top venue, the boutique-style festival is set to be bursting with bars serving craft beers and summer-inspired cocktails, a delicious range of street-food stalls and so much more. Expect the ultimate festival experience in the heart of the city!

Speaking about the upcoming festival, co-producer Cass Randolph said: “We’re totally blown away by this year’s sales. It’s so rewarding to know we’ve earned our stripes with comedy fans across Bristol and the South West over the years… or it could just be down to the ridiculously good lineup!”

Don’t miss this last chance to get in on some Comedy Garden magic this summer.
