The school in Westbury has launched a fundraising campaign during lockdown
uring the past few months, Badminton School has been very focused on staying connected with and supporting its local community. From the start of lockdown in spring, the school has donated safety glasses and disposable gloves to its NHS community, supported key workers’ children during the lockdown period and staff members volunteered their services to the NHS. Now, as Badminton welcomes the festive season, it is delighted to be supporting two local charities.
Karin Ashwell, marketing manager said: “The “4 Ts of Christmas Charity Challenge” is a fundraising campaign, which encouraged our pupils to donate different food items for a period of four weeks to give to the North Bristol Foodbank; heaps of tins, tea, treats and toiletries were collected and gifted to the North Bristol Foodbank, who were delighted to be able to support.”
“Sadly, we are unable to welcome our wider community to our annual Christmas Bazaar event this year, but we warmly welcome anyone to participate in this festive fair virtually! This year money raised will go to the well-known local charity St Peter’s Hospice, who we are so pleased to be able to support. Everyone is welcome to join the Bazaar; with activities ranging from Christmas shopping to a virtual visit to Santa’s Grotto, Christmas carol music downloads, a fitness class and much more! Details can be found on our school website.”
