Guests invited to celebrate Afternoon Tea Week at Symonds restaurant at Audley Redwood from 14–20 August
Since its introduction by the Duchess of Bedford in the 1800s, afternoon tea has become a British pastime. Symonds at Redwood, located at Audley Redwood, the luxury retirement village near in Failand, will be celebrating this tradition by taking part in the eighth annual Afternoon Tea Week in mid-August.
From 14–20 August, Afternoon Tea Week will be taking place across the whole of the UK with themed menus on offer at a range of locations. This will include five-star hotels, stately homes, luxury department stores and the Audley villages.
Guests are invited to take part in the week at Audley Redwood by sampling a specially designed menu at Symonds at Redwood, situated in Redwood Hall. Head Chef Nigel Jones has developed a special set menu which incorporates the finest seasonal ingredients from a wide variety of local suppliers. Dishes include timeless classics such as homemade scones and a variety of cakes and pastries.
