A special summer fête at Badminton School

Join in the family fun next month with music, games, food and more!

Get into the swing of summer with the Badminton School summer fête on Sunday 9 June from 11.00am–3.00pm! Join them for a quintessentially British day for all the family, come rain or shine, with a huge variety of stalls, activities and entertainment to enjoy.

All of the favourites will be returning of course, ready to entertain the crowds, including the wonderful Marshfield Brass Band and Avon Owls. There will be a special delivery of ice-cream, cream teas and crêpes to tuck into, and no fête would be complete without classic games and activities such as ‘hook-a-duck’, face-painting and ‘splat the rat’!

New this year is the special English cream tea prepared by the school’s head chef. Enjoy a selection of traditional crust-less sandwiches, including salmon with cream cheese, beef and horseradish, free-range egg and watercress, locally sourced cheese and homemade pickle. These will be accompanied by a variety of cakes and pastries, completed with classic scones, strawberry jam and clotted cream. Tea for two, including Yorkshire or Twinings Tea, is available for just £25.

This year, the summer fête is supporting Tree Aid, an international development organisation based in Bristol helping people in the drylands of Africa to lift themselves out of poverty and protect their environment.

Please book your ticket via Eventbrite. Entry is free, but places are limited, so reserve your afternoon treats early to avoid disappointment. Please note that English cream teas may only be booked in advance. They will not be available to purchase on the day.

Everyone is welcome so please bring along grandparents, friends and family! Link to book your place is: http://bit.ly/2W4Dt6U
