The children sung a variety of songs, from traditional tunes to songs of praise
Pupils from a North Somerset school performed a special concert for residents at Abbots Leigh Nursing Home, including songs from musicals and traditional classics.
The Junior Choir, made up of children aged 7-11, from Fairfield School in Backwell, performed a programme of memorable favourites including ‘We’ll Meet Again’ and ‘Run Rabbit Run’ by Dame Vera Lynn, popular songs from musicals including ‘Let’s Go Fly a Kite’ and traditional pieces like ‘Lord of the Dance.’
Fairfield School headmistress Lesley Barton, said: “The children performed to an exceptionally high standard and were praised for the quality of their voices. The song choices were perfect and the residents sang along with the choir, which was lovely. Everyone, young and old, thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.”
