We're all going on a summer holiday!

The new year may have just begun, but it's never too early to book your summer holiday

It’s the bleakest month of the year. It’s dark when you leave for work, and dark when you get back. It seems impossible to get warm. So, it’s the perfect time of the year to start looking for your summer holiday! There are plenty of places you can visit all over the world from Bristol airport, so to makes things easier, we’ve rounded up the very best package deals for a family of four, starting from the beginning of August.

Bologna, Italy

For somewhere a little closer to home, why not give Italy a try? Sure, you’ve heard all about the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Colosseum at Rome, but why not give the city of Bologna a go? Ryanair are offering a package deal direct from Bristol for a family of four from just £261 per person in the central hotel Suite Elite. Perhaps one for the older kids, there’s a whole world to explore at your fingertips, with the city boasting some of the best organic ice cream in the world, incredible architecture around every corner, and, of course, fantastic pizzas. Spend the day exploring the San Luca Church that overlooks the city and trek the expansive walkways that surround it, or, for a fully immersive experience, get an open-top bus and see all the sights from up above.

Paphos, Cyprus

For families seeking sunshine and relaxation, Paphos is the place to be. Located on the south-west coast of the island, it really does have it all – beautiful beaches, a modern city and fascinating ancient ruins of tombs, fortresses, theatres and villas. A family of four can fly direct from Bristol and stay in the desirable Hotel Louis Phaethon Beach Club for £962 per person with TUI and experience everything the area has to offer. The resort itself has a range of swimming pools, a water park and is extremely close to the beach. It’s just a 10-minute bus ride to the harbour where there’s a range of cafes and tavernas to grab something to eat and drink, and there’s even a kid’s club for 3–11-year-olds so the grown-ups can have their own time too.

Majorca, Spain

Situated just off the coast of Spain, Majorca is a hugely popular holiday destination for good reason. Although seen by some as a party island, there’s plenty to do for families, and Thomas Cook are offering a seven-night, all-inclusive stay in the bustling town of Alcudia at the Club Mac Resort for £711 per person. Perfect for those with children, you can travel the two miles to the old town and marvel at the city walls or take a guided tour and soak up the history. Head down to the magnificent Bay of Alcudia where the majority of the tourist attractions lie and visit the stunning beach. Take part in a variety of water sports or simply paddle in the cool, crystal-clear water – the choice is up to you!
