Stuck for things to amuse the little ones this half term? Luckily, with Halloween just around the corner, there’s loads to see and do for the whole family in Bristol, with lots of seasonal celebrations at all your favourite spots!

All week long you can explore supernatural specials at the SS Great Britain, the Wild Place Project and Bristol Zoo, with Cabot Circus and Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm both offering fun days out as well.

On board the SS Great Britain there’ll be arts and crafts sessions where children can make rat masks, enjoy a themed archive tour, spooky storytelling in the dining saloon and a ragtag bunch of Ragged Victorians bringing the dockyard to life. Parents and older ones will also love hearing about the mysterious vanishing of Captain John Gray… Find out more: www.ssgreatbritain.org

At the Wild Place Project kids get discounted entry to enjoy the whole park. There’s a fancy dress competition, face painting, scarecrow hunt, shadowy stories and much more! The team will also be bringing out some creepy crawly friends for some mini beast encounters… not for the faint hearted! Find out more: www.wildplace.org.uk

Dress up in your finest robes and head to Bristol Zoo this half term for some magical treats! There’s a witches and wizards’ workshop to explore, where you can learn witching crafts and spell casting, get your face painted and enjoy lots of fun and games. Make sure you check out the black cat trail! Find out more: www.bristolzoo.org.uk

Keep an eye out for Jaws and Claws at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm’s unique take on Halloween, with a focus on education and seasonal thrills.
