A Totterdown nursery is celebrating a 'Good' Ofsted rating following its latest inspection by the governing body
The Mama Bear’s Day Nursery & Pre-School at Wells Road has been praised for its strong partnership with parents and providing good role models for the children who are well mannered, kind, respectful and tolerant.
Mama Bear’s Totterdown nursery manager, Sam Davies, said: “We are thrilled to have gained a Good Ofsted rating and we’re delighted at some of the wonderful comments given by the inspector in the report.
“The whole team has been working really hard in order to ensure we provide the best care possible to our families and we’re so pleased all our hard work and commitment has been recognised.
“We plan a range of interesting activities for children and we were pleased to see it noted that the children enjoy investigating and exploring and that all children make good progress in readiness for their eventual move on to school. They are confident and enthusiastic about learning.
“We complete regular observations and assessments of children’s learning and use this to plan for the next stages in development. The inspector also noted that staff support children’s communication and language skills well.”
The family-run Mama Bear’s Day Nurseries provide care for children from three months to five years. There are now 23 settings across Somerset, Bristol and Devon. The Day Nurseries are aimed at providing children with their first vital level of education to give them a head-start when they start at primary school.
