Inspection report praises nursery school and reception class

Clifton High School is based in the heart of Clifton Village teaching boys and girls from three to 18 years. In the summer term of 2016 the school announced the results of its recent ISI inspection which were superb. For families looking to start their educational journey the report confirmed the high standard of education and pastoral care girls and boys receive in both the nursery school and reception classes. The report states that the school provides “a nurturing environment, within which children feel safe and secure” and that “children are happy, confident and independent; they develop extremely strong personal skills for their future lives”  Class sizes are small at Clifton High and children are taught by specialist teachers and teaching assistants.

The school is set in the most beautiful grounds, with a south facing aspect it is leafy and sunny, and it puts a real emphasis on its environment. As well as dedicated outdoor playspace, nursery and reception children enjoy the wildflower meadow, the school has developed a mature wildlife garden, has its own pond for supervised wildlife encounters and also keeps its own bees. Indoors the facilities are just as good, with both reception and nursery classes having recently had a full refurbishment.

Tours and taster days are also available at any time. If you would like to find out more about the nursery School and reception please contact Mrs Melanie Johnson, Admissions Registrar on 0117 933 9087 or email admissions@cliftonhigh.bristol.sch.uk.
