Stylemonger Zoë Hewett offers an insight into the world of interior design with a full-day creative workshop at Hamilton House. Participants will learn to develop their own ideas and express them through their chosen style of decoration. Zoë will share her extensive knowledge of techniques, colour and trends to provide a unique, well-rounded introduction to interiors. Delicious healthy food, tea and coffee will also be provided, and by the end of the day each new designer will have made their own mood board to take home. All levels of experience are welcome, from absolute beginners to anyone working on a project or property renovation.

Tales of Whales

Join storyteller Sarah Mooney at the ss Great Britain to hear an array of exciting maritime legends. In the shadow of Brunel’s famous ocean-going steam ship, tales of the sea are brought to life. Pirate gold, angel fish and stormy seas all feature in Sea Hear Storytelling, a free session at the Brunel Institute. Sarah’s new take on these classic stories is imaginative and action-packed, allowing for children to join in with the telling. Guaranteed to thrill pre-schoolers and parents alike.

Remember, Remember

This year’s bonfire night celebrations are set to be explosive at Canford Park. The charity firework event in Henleaze promises to be bigger than ever, with a dazzling pyrotechnic display in the picturesque setting of the park. Food and hot or cold drinks will also be available on the night. This is a community event, organised by volunteers, and a portion of the ticket sales will go to local schools and charities.

Saturday 4 November, visit www.fireworksfiesta.co.uk for more information and to buy advance tickets. Selected St Peter’s Hospice and local schools also have tickets available.
