Mark Regan to host event at Cadbury House
English rugby supporters and fans of sport in general are being invited to an entertaining evening of anecdotes from one of the games more colourful characters.
Taking place on Friday 28 October, Mark ‘Ronnie’ Regan will be hosting a three-course dinner followed by an ‘on the couch’ session where he will reveal the secrets about playing international rugby and the darker arts of the front row union!
Having graced the game for Bristol, Bath, England and the British Lions on the successful tour of South Africa in 1997, the effervescent Regan was at the forefront of one of England’s golden ages when they dominated the six nations and won the world cup.
Raising money for Charlton Farm and Weston Hospice Care the event is taking place at DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House in North Somerset with Somerset and England cricketer, Peter Trego, acting as master of ceremonies.
Colin Badcock, general manager at Cadbury House said: “Mark was one of the best known players during the 90s and early 2000s. His passion for club and country was clearly evident when on the pitch and he’d never take a step backwards.
“Off it however he is one of the most approachable and delightful people I’ve ever met and it’s great that he is channelling his energy towards raising money for these two fantastic charities.
“The evening promises to be a great event and I’m sure Mark will have some fabulous and hilarious stories. I’m sure as well he’ll be as frank and straight forward with any questions from the audience, just like he was in his playing days.”
The evening will also include an auction of sporting memorabilia with proceeds going to the two charities. Tickets for the event cost £49 per person.
