Acclaimed comedian Rich Hall announces his autumn tour dates

Comedian Rich Hall has announced that he will be coming to Bristol in September with a very special run of his epic Hoedown for a limited three nights only!

Rich Hall, star of critically acclaimed BBC 4 documentaries including Rich Hall’s Continental Drifters, Rich Hall’s You Can Go To Hell, I’m Going To Texas and Rich Hall’s Inventing The Indian is delighted to announce brand new dates for autumn 2016 with latest show – Rich Hall: Live 2016. The award-winning Montana native renowned for his expertly crafted tirades and quick fire banter with audiences and delightful musical sequences saddles up and hitches his wagon to tour the British Isles once again.

Rich and his live band will also be performing limited runs of his incredible Hoedown around the UK, including 4 nights at the Tobacco Factory Theatre in Bristol, 3 nights at The Playhouse in Norwich, and finally bringing 2016 to a close with 4 nights at The Lowry in Salford Quays. Join Rich and his virtuoso musical mates for a mash-up of music, comedy and gratuitous coloration. The floor will reek of liquor and spent dreams.

Rich Hall’s critically acclaimed grouchy, deadpan style has established him as a master of absurdist irony and the king of rapid-fire wit. This is a comedian who's plain spoken growling indignation and acerbic observations have an unerring talent for hitting his targets with precision every time, leaving his audience hanging on every word winning him fans all over the globe.  Perrier (Edinburgh Comedy Festival) Award and Barry (Melbourne International Comedy Festival) Award winner Hall has been described as a transatlantic messenger lampooning each country he visits with his common sense, and he is no less harsh to his homeland.

Rich has also become well known for his television and radio work. Notable UK appearances include regular appearances on Very British Problems (Channel 4), Stand Up For The Week (Channel 4), QI (BBC1/2), Live At The Apollo (BBC1), Channel 4’s Comedy Gala Live At The O2Have I Got News For You (BBC1), Rich Hall’s Cattle Drive (BBC4), Rich Hall’s Gone Fishing (BBC4), Otis Lee Crenshaw – London Not Tennessee (BBC2), Never Mind The Buzzcocks(BBC2) and his most recent BBC4 documentary Rich Hall's Californian Stars.

Other strings to his bow include writing for The David Letterman Show, which he won two Emmy’s for and was the inspiration behind Matt Groening’s character Moe Szyslak from The Simpsons. Rich is also an accomplished author and has released three books, Magnificent Bastards, I Blame Society and Things Snowball, all released by Abacus Books. Hall has also released two very successful stand-up DVD’s in 2001 and 2009 through Universal Pictures UK.

Rich recently had his new documentary, In Search Of Southern Hospitality air on BBC Radio 4 in April 2016. Later this year, Rich will be returning to BBC Radio 4 with Rich Hall’s (US Election) Breakdown, where he will be guiding listeners through the chaos that is the upcoming US Presidential Election.
