Come along to the event on the 8th of July for a chance to win a flight for two to Hong Kong

People buying tickets for a charity Casino Night in Weston In Gordano this month (May, 2017) will be entered for a prize draw to win a flight for two to Hong Kong. The fundraising event for the mental health charity Changes Bristol will take place at The White Hart this summer and each ticket includes entry to a Golden Draw.

Vice Chair and Trustee at Changes Bristol, Alison McDougall, said: “First prize is a flight for two to Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific. Other amazing prizes up for grabs include train tickets from GWR, tickets for Brittany Ferries and lots of foodie vouchers, so there are plenty of chances to be a winner on the night!”

The evening costs £30 per person. Twenty pounds will go towards a guest’s food, drink and casino chips for the evening and £10 will be automatically donated to Changes Bristol.

Mike Yeatman, who owns and runs The White Hart along with his wife Chris, said: “We’re delighted to be able to help raise money for Changes Bristol with this Black Tie Casino Night. It’s a wonderful charity.

“The price of each ticket also includes live music from the band ‘Rock Bottom’, welcome drinks on arrival, a huge pan of paella for guests to tuck into and a mini bus shuttle service to take local people back home at the end of the evening.

“We’ve just printed the tickets, so they are now properly on sale for the event, which is on Saturday, July 8. Anyone interested in finding out more should visit www.whitehartwig.com or call us on 01275 818702.

People can also get tickets from The White Hart or Venga at 24 High Street, Portishead. Tickets are available from Changes Bristol as well, please call 0117 941 1123.”

Changes Bristol runs 10 weekly mental health peer support meetings in Bristol. The service gives people suffering from mental health issues a place to talk about their feelings and the platform to take steps towards improving their lives.

Each of the meetings is run through the kindness of volunteers and users do not require a referral from their GP to attend.

Alison added: “As we’re a small charity, and in this current climate, it is increasingly difficult to receive any type of funding. The donations we receive go such a long way to ensuring that we can continue our mental health services, which so many rely on.

“We’re incredibly grateful to The White Hart for hosting this event and choosing to support us this year. I’d like to extend my thanks in advance to the generous people who buy tickets for this event, which promises to be great fun and if you buy a ticket you could even go home with one of our amazing Golden Draw prizes too!”
