Bristol in the sky announce DS Automobiles as partner

The French premium automotive brand will be the official title partner for the high-flying gastronomic event

Founded in June 2014, DS Automobiles (DS) is a French premium automotive brand born in Paris, which builds cars with an exclusive blend of technology, craftsmanship, avant-garde style and attention to detail. 

UK Marketing director for DS Automobiles, Mark Blundell, is delighted that DS are the naming rights partner to Bristol in the Sky 2017. He comments, “Gastronomy is an area where we see real parallels with our own brand values. Bristol in the Sky is one of the city’s most elevated gastronomic events and with its blend of fine dining and avant-garde experience we’re delighted to be the title partner for 2017.” 

Further to this, the pop-up, which offers customers a sensational gastronomic dining experience at 100 feet in the air can announce the restaurant line-up for their breakfast, lunch and dinner sittings from 7th – 10th September (inclusive).

Second Floor Restaurant: Harvey Nichols, Rosemarino, Romy’s Kitchen and Henry’s 

Romy Gill MBE of Romy’s Kitchen is delighted to be involved as a lunch and dinner partner. She comments, “I like to take challenges in my life and cooking 100ft in the air is definitely one of them. For me, it’s about showing people my journey of food and bringing it to them at the table. I am absolutely thrilled to be part of the experience in Bristol, and can’t wait for you to taste my menu”. 

Louise McCrimmon, of Second Floor restaurant says “I’m delighted to be working with Bristol in the Sky this year showcasing the best of what the Second Floor restaurant has to offer. Expect some of the best of the South West with a starter featuring Brixham crab and the main some fantastic organic lamb from Stream Farm. Bristol is such a great city with its growing food scene, I’m really looking forward to it. See you up there.”  

General release of tickets will be available from 27th February, which will also include afternoon and evening drink sittings. Customers can look forward to the likes of Her Majesty’s Secret Service serving cocktails in the sky on the evening flights and Swoon Gelato hosting the afternoon flight. 

Bruno Forte, founder of Swoon comments, “As an innovative new business in Bristol, we love a challenge. What better way to be challenged than serving our fresh gelato 100ft in the air? We’re excited to be the first gelato company in the sky, and who can resist a gelato cream tea on a warm September afternoon overlooking our wonderful city of Bristol.”
