Go the extra mile with Changes Bristol

Changes Bristol

Do your bit for one of Bristol’s most vital charities

If you’re looking to do your bit for charity this year, then why not go local and support Changes Bristol. Helping people of all ages across the city suffering with mental distress, Changes Bristol provide weekly mutual peer meeting support groups for those who most need it. Whilst their services are free to use, they need all the help they can get, and that is where you come in.

Looking for a bit of a challenge? Or maybe you just want to try something new? Running is a great way to keep fit and healthy and this time you can do it for a great cause. Run on behalf of Changes Bristol for either the Bristol 10K or go the extra mile and try out the Bristol Half Marathon.

The races

The Bristol 10K is on the 13th May, meaning you have plenty of time to train and fundraise. If you join with Changes Bristol, you can occupy one of the last five spots they have on their team – it’s an easy one to fundraise for and perfect for your first sponsored run. All you will need to do is pay a £20 entry fee and raise a minimum sponsorship target of £150. Never done something like this before? Changes Bristol are making it even easier for first-time runners by offering training runs and tips and offering fundraising support.

The Bristol Half Marathon is on the 23rd September – meaning you have no excuses not to give it a go! One for those who are up for a bit of a challenge, there are four charity spots left on their team, and there is a £30 entry fee and a sponsorship target of £200.

Running with Changes Bristol

In return for raising funds for Changes Bristol, you will be provided with:

  • Personalised iron-on t-shirt letters so everyone can cheer you on.
  • Any fundraising materials that you may require (tins, buckets, sponsorship forms etc.).

  • Training advice and the option to train together to keep you motivated!
  • A congratulatory cheer and hug (optional) from Changes and staff and your team mates as you hit the finish line!
