Legendary Bowie producer Tony Visconti is joined by Woody Woodmansey, Glenn Gregory, James Stevenson, Bernice Scott and Jessica Morgan for this live spectacular, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. The group first formed in 2014 for a live rendition of Bowie’s ‘The Man Who Sold the World’ and the project has since blossomed into a touring act that simply has to be seen.

The first installation of Colston Hall’s spectacular Monteverdi 450 programme and the UK premiere of this international tour, Sir John Eliot Gardiner and the English Baroque Soloists and Monteverdi Choir bring to life an opera that was first performed in 1639 at the Venice Carnival. Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in patria or the return of Ulysses to his Homeland, is a tale of adventure, peril and reward brought to life my Sir John Eliot Gardiner, one of the most sought after conductors of our time.

The combination of Jonathan Glazer’s 2014 film Under The Skin and an intoxicating soundtrack conceived by DJ Mica Levi promises to be an event not to miss. Levi composed the original soundtrack to Under The Skin and now conducts the London Sinfonietta in this live screening of Glazer’s adaptation of Michel Faber’s novel of the same name.
